I don’t really know what this means… but it seems like it’s a good thing. I received an email letting me know that my business was selected by past clients to be a winner in The Knot Best of Weddings. So thank you so much to all my past clients who made the effort to nominate us for this honor. We hope that we will continue to exceed our clients expectations in the coming years and give them a wedding video that will play a key role in the success of their commitment to one another.
A promotional video showing how fun and awesome it is to spend a day getting your picture taken with Patrick Ang photography. Check out the photos from the shoot here:
Thanks to Chris and Emily for being such troopers… this was a long day but the photo opportunities are just endless in this city.
Thanks to Patrick for giving me the honor of making your promo video. I had a blast eating Dim Sum in China Town with you.
January 13, 2010 - 8:16 amcari - uummm. are promotional videos supposed to make you cry? beautiful.
January 18, 2010 - 7:10 amPatrick Ang - This video is amazing Curtis. I had so much fun working with you and hope to have many more opportunities to work together again. You are truly a talented artist and only wish I had known you when I got married.
What a way to end the season! We had such an amazing year filming incredible weddings, learning more about our craft, and most importantly, witnessing so many couples commit themselves to one another. Many of the couples we’ve filmed, we now have the pleasure of calling friends. This business has been as much of a blessing to us, as we hope it has been to the people we’ve met along the way.
Now, to talk briefly about our last wedding of the season. Doug and Jessica were married at the impressive University of Utah. High above the city, with views of the mountains on one side, and Salt Lake City on the other, this venue made for an elegant and breathtaking ceremony. The only distraction to the beauty of the ceremony was the Texas Longhorns game, which was playing in the corner. This explained the large gathering of Texans we found in the corner during the reception Doug and Jessica are as committed to each other as they are to the people they’ve chosen to serve in Salt Lake City. If you would have asked anyone at the reception that night about Doug and Jessica, a few words would have echoed back with resounding clarity. “Real,” “faithful,” and “servants” to name just a few. So many of the couples we meet have such great individual character which magnifies exponentially as a married couple. Doug and Jessica will definitely follow suit. We are so happy for the two of you, and look forward to seeing Utah blessed by your presence there.
January 7, 2010 - 1:11 pmKaitlyn - This video is so expressive. I love the little you shared about the couple. I think that her dress is one of the most beautiful I've seen. I love it :). Great video!
Connor and Tracy’s relationship is anything but typical. They were roommates before they dated, moved to Texas together before they married and have now brought Tracy’s three year old daughter, Lilly into their family.
Connor and Tracy are proof that love can be found in even the strangest of circumstances. I have never felt more proud of my little brother than I was the moment he committed to loving Tracy as a husband and Lilly as a father. I feel so honored to have been able to surrender my role as a best man and capture this unique and beautiful love story on film.
I love you both and am so proud of you guys. We will support you and help you in any way we can. Congratulations.
Gino and Brittney Fumia’s wedding was unforgettable. The recently renovated Mission in San Luis Obispo was a beautiful venue. The architecture and history always give ceremonies held within the Mission a sense of reverence and awe. To balance it out though, Gino and Brittney made sure their guests had plenty of fun at the reception, which was held at the Cliffs Resort in Shell Beach. The reception was held outdoors within the confines of one of the most beautiful tents I have ever seen. The florists absolutely outdid themselves. The decor was spectacular and was complimented perfectly with the natural beauty of the Pacific Ocean.
We had a blast filming this wedding; due in no small part to the surprise cooked up by Gino and the boys during the reception. Be sure to check it out HERE on YouTube!
Also a quick thank you to Manuele Photography, Joe LaBarbera from Joe LaBarbera Sound, and Anna Fergus from the Cliffs for making every aspect of this wedding day seamless.
Rarely do we feel so comfortable at a wedding that we almost step
right into the family photos. Our conversations with family members
throughout the day, and with Tommy and AnneMarie themselves, revealed
the quality of this family. Tommy and AnneMarie were sincere and
generous with their time, which we very much appreciated. And every
family member we had the priviledge to meet impressed us all the more.
Weddings can be a stressful time, so by the time we get to the first
dance, everyone takes a breather and remembers why we are here. Seeing
AnneMarie and Tommy on the dance floor was a reminder of the
simplicity of love. There were though, some definite highlights to
mention. Tommy’s uncle, a retired Monsignor, came out of retirement to
marry this amazing couple in the Mission at San Luis Obispo. In
addition, mother of the bride found an incredible property for the
preparations and reception. But despite these highlights, this day was
all about the love and committment, displayed before those they love,
from Tommy and AnneMarie. Congratulations to you two! If the day we
spent with you is any indication of your future, you will have a long
and happy life together.
Special thanks to Judy Alfter and Cheryl Mestmaker for their support and
willingness to work together for the good of the couple. We truly love
working with the two of you. Also, thank you to Melissa Kramer for
providing a classic and fun environment for Tommy and AnneMarie at
their reception.
January 11, 2010 - 2:05 amMichelle Pearson - Hey Curtis! I was looking through your videos and I saw this one and went wow, I've been to that house before.. LOL Check it out http://www.xpressionsbymichelle.com/eyecandy/?p=559 Love your work, hope to work with you soon :)
We always say that it is the chemistry of the couple that makes a great wedding, and while true, a beautiful location doesn’t hurt either. Seven Oaks Country Club in Bakersfield, CA certainly qualifies as such. The extended landscapes served as an amazing backdrop for our time with Shea and Todd. Having time alone with the couple on the day of the wedding is always a special privilege. It gives us time to have some fun with the couple, which makes for great footage, but also gives us a chance to see the couple interact with each other when they think no one is looking. Shea and Todd reminded us once again why we do what we do. The opportunity to document such a special day in the lives of two individuals becoming one is an honor and a blessing. Shea and Todd, we truly hope that you enjoy your film. It was a pleasure to be a part of it.
Thanks to Frankly Yours for another great day. We really appreciate your flexibility and respect for our work throughout the day. It makes such a difference. Also thank you to Freestyle Entertainment for creating an amazing dance party. Not only can these guys keep the party going like nobody else… they can also break dance.
Mike and Diane really broke the mold on this one. Very few weddings are so tailored to a couple’s interests. From the suits to the shoes to the guitar guestbook…this wedding had Mike and Diane written all over it. Even the song they chose for their highlights video showed their desire to make this wedding less about cliches and more about what spoke to them as a couple. Their vows, which were written by Mike and Diane, were beautiful and full of emotion. The hours that followed the “I do’s,” were filled with loving glances and words of endearment, which affirmed the decision that was made between the two. We’ve said it before. Chemistry between a couple makes all the difference. As you watch Mike and Diane’s highlights video, you’ll see what we mean.
It was a pleasure to work with photographer, Scott Stebner, who flew in from Colorado for the occasion. Special thanks to rancho llano de los robles for being so pleasant to work with, and for providing Mike and Diane such a beautiful location for their wedding.
Chris and Ashley have the best of both worlds; the support of two loving families and the strength of their own love for one other. If the attention to detail that was shown at their wedding is any indication of the care they will put into their marriage, then Chris and Ashley are going to have one exemplary relationship. Not a thing was too small to be ignored. The place settings, the candy bar, the lanterns, the programs, everything showed great care and imagination.
Everyone knows that a bride is beautiful, but I think Ashley just raised the bar. She looked absolutely stunning walking down the isle in the Gardens at Peacock Farms. The look on Chris’ face as he took his bride’s hand spoke volumes of his love for her. Being a fireman, Chris has intrinsic values of commitment, honor, service and love. There is no doubt that he will bring into his marriage the characteristics that typify those in his line of work.
We were blessed to be included in such a beautiful day. Chris and Ashley, congratulations in your new life together. We are so excited for both of you!
Passion and tradition rarely meet as they did in the celebration of Alon and Galeet. It was a beautiful marriage of individuals, family and tradition. Kind words were spoken about Alon and Galeet, which we found to be true after having met them. Also, their families share a common background, which makes this marriage seem divinely inspired – as all great marriages are. Alon and Galeet have very fun and passionate families which created the best dance party we’ve ever seen at a wedding…and that was before dinner! As always, it was a pleasure to work with photographer, David Pascolla and Coordinator Anna Fergus from The Cliffs Resort.
